Grosbeaks sometimes represent family love and heart. Family can mean that which you were born with, married into, or it can mean the family you have chosen. I am so grateful for all those categories of my family and it's with that spirit of thankfulness that I painted this sweet friend.
This is one of 30 paintings I will be painting in February as part of the Thirty in Thirty Challenge. 50% of the sale is going to support the wonderful work of the Seward Park Audubon Center in Seattle, WA.
